Allen Marquette and his wife Susanna own property in the Elk Bend area where they built a log cabin on the Salmon River over thirty five years ago. They also lived in several different remote locations in the state of Alaska, including many years in the arctic. Allen worked for 13 years as an education program manager for the Prince William Sound Science Center in Cordova, Alaska on Prince William Sound. He is constantly inspired by nature and enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors for ideas in his jewelry work. Allen has been a lapidarist for over 45 years and has been doing metalsmithing and jewelry making for many of those years. He enjoys stone cutting, enameling and cloisonné, pewter casting and silversmithing which allows him to make unique, one of a kind pieces of jewelry.
