Beth has been a self taught artist and photographer all her life, a gift that she knows came from God. She started out by doing a lot of acrylic paintings when she was in high school. Though she loved painting she realized after she was married and had had her first child she and her husband decided that they should get a SLR camera to document their new son’s life. It was then that she discovered that she really enjoyed photography.
Living in Vermont the four seasons were beautiful and living on an awesome hill which overlooked Lake Champlain with beautiful sunsets on one side and the beautiful sunrises over the Green Mountains on the other sure helped. It was then that she put the camera to many tests. She took all her family portraits, children’s school portraits and even did the small Christian school’s where her children attended, school portraits one year. Soon Beth’s children’s friends wanted her to take theirs. She was asked to do senior portraits and weddings.
Since then she has received many awards for her photography in Vermont and here in Idaho. Beth and her family relocated to Idaho in the summer of 1999 and found a new beauty in this part of the country. It was then that she stepped into the digital world, owning her own digital processing and framing business, Photo Arts. Beth is a member of the River of No Return Photo Club here in Salmon and to this day she is learning new things with her DSLR.
